I’ve never been a great fan of the more faddish styles of contemporary photography. Meet the bride however is different, evoking emotion and spontaneity every time. Especially over the the winter months, when couples choose to marry late afternoon, getting together prior to wedding ceremony is a way to capture the best light of the day, and photograph the bride and groom first seeing each other. There is a certain type of magic that happens when a couple first see each other. This is usually masked by the bride walking down the aisle with the groom, at the opposite end, dislocating the visual connection between them.
Here is a selection from a wedding I shot in March 2012 to give you an idea of the type of shots you may get from a ‘meet the bride’ shoot. If you would like to meet your partner prior to your wedding ceremony for some extra special candids, please contact me for more information.
